摘要: Capacity planning is a powerful tool for managing quality of service on the Web. This tutorial presents capacity methodology Web-based environments, where main steps are: understanding environment, characterizing workload, modeling validating and calibrating models, forecasting predicting performance, analyzing cost-performance plans, suggesting actions. The are based two models: workload model performance model. first results from second quantitative description system behavior. Instead relying intuition, ad hoc procedures rules thumb to understand analyze behavior Web services, this emphasizes role as uniform formal way dealing with problems.
