摘要: Elective hysterectomy was the most frequently performed major surgical procedure on reproductive age women during last decade.1 Adherence to good principles such as gentle handling of tissue, sharp dissection, careful attention hemostasis, avoidance large pedicles devitalized tissue and areas dead space, use less reactive suture, close aseptic techniques have reduced complications. In addition, Ledger2 emphasized that plastic adhesive drapes, excessive electrocautery for cutting, passive wound drains increase risk postoperative infection. Because potential pathogens involved in infections, abscess formation is possible. Postoperative pelvic or infection may prolong hospital stay from 5 14 days necessitate a second operative procedure. These infections continue pose significant problem gynecologic surgeons.
