摘要: Along the Italian maritime foredunes there are two different morphotypes of Cakile maritima Scop. subsp. differing in leaf shape: one type is characterized by entire lamina, while other shows pinnatifi d leaves. Therefore, this study was performed to analyze morpho-functional characters both C. order highlight peculiar adaptations ecological conditions sand dune environments and compare morphological types. The traits analyzed roll, general morphology epidermis, vesicular cells, salt crys- tals, stomatal apparatus, density (SD), hydathodes, mesophyll, idioblasts, specifi c area (SLA) dry matter content (LDMC). most interesting anatomical habitats thick epidermal cuticle; high density; cells involved water storage, sunlight refl exion together with hydathodes elimination; development palisade storage parenchyma; bundle sheath typical C 4 anatomy. Differences several between seem suggest that morphotype more resistant stress environmental disturbance than type. analysis distribution coastal affected progradation or erosional processes confi rmed hypothesis.
