摘要: TEACHING VOCABULARY MEANINGFULLY WITH LANGUAGE, IMAGE, AND SOUND Doraina Diane Pyle Center for Language Studies Masters of Arts This study was an exploration how instructional technique that uses language, image, and sound—that a meaningful presentation language with image by gradual, step-by-step sequencing—affects vocabulary acquisition. Research carried out volunteers from the BYU community, who were randomly assigned to one two testing groups. The groups viewed Arabic presentations wherein experimental group received line drawings indicate meanings, other English translations. Following treatment, learners completed online test, week later, same test. Statistical analyses indicated method not better than presentation. ACT scores times, however, significant their affect on learning outcomes.
