摘要: In 1820-1821 the armies of Muhammad 'Ali overran kingdom Sinnar and thereafter, until victory Mahdi after 1880, extended their rule over most modern Democratic Republic Sudan. Previous studies this Turkish period,1 based largely upon government records, have tended to emphasize "the administrative activities ruling institution."2 The present essay, building historiographical legacy, hopes address broader social issues restore Sudanese people center stage in historical drama first colonial period through reference travellers' accounts examination legal documents collected from private papers families.3
