摘要: Rhythmic auditory cues can immediately improve gait in Parkinson's disease. However, this effect varies considerably across patients. The factors associated with individual variability are not known to date. Patients' rhythmic abilities and musicality (e.g., perceptual singing abilities, emotional response music, musical training) may foster a positive cues. To examine hypothesis, we measured at baseline 39 non-demented patients disease matched healthy controls. Cognition, general were assessed. A cueing was qualified as when the stimulation led clinically meaningful increase speed. We observed that (n = 17) more musically trained, aligned often their steps while walking, showed better music perception well poorer cognitive flexibility than non-positive (n = 22). Gait performance worsened six concluded skills, which be modulated by training, beneficial effects of Screening terms musical/rhythmic training allow teasing apart who likely benefit from those worsen due stimulation.
