摘要: In parts of the developing world where densities are high but availability air conditioning is limited, building massing and height regulations can influence interior comfort levels. Dhaka, Bangladesh, characterized by population densities, a lack open spaces, poverty levels, combining to produce living conditions which not only uncomfortable, may lead spread disease. A recent change in zoning provides an opportunity assess success heights setbacks improving indoor thermal conditions. We impact on within Dhaka’s non-conditioned apartment buildings four schemes differ their specifications for setbacks, maximum buildable area, heights; that maintains current density. Computer simulation techniques model test solar, daylight, ventilation inside central calculate resultant temperature, mean radiant relative humidity velocity. Comparison between these values helps determine most favorable Findings suggest provide better solar protection natural able reduce temperature increase velocity over provided regulations. Recommendations revising given along with general recommendations how hot, humid climates maximize passive cooling, encouraging energy savings environmental sustainability.
