摘要: Fungal immunomodulatory proteins (FIPs) are a group of found in fungi, which extensively studied for their activity. Currently, more than 38 types FIPs have been described. Based on conserved structure and protein identity, can be classified into five subgroups: Fve-type (Pfam PF09259), Cerato-type PF07249), PCP-like FIPs, TFP-like unclassified FIPs. Among the subgroups, most hemagglutinating, immunomodulating, anti-cancer properties. In general, these small consist 110-125 amino acids, with molecular weight ~13 kDa. The other four subgroups relatively less studied, but also show noticeable influence immune cells. this review, we summarized modifications, 3-dimensional structures bioactivities all Moreover, structure-function relationship has discussed, including between carbohydrate binding module hemagglutination, correlation oligomerization cytokine induction, relevance glycosylation lymphocyte activation. This summary discussion may help gain comprehensive understanding FIPs' working mechanisms scope future studies.
