摘要: The ‘Protist’ entomopathogens are represented by a broad taxonomic and phylogenetic range of single-cell eukaryotic organisms with very different life histories interactions their hosts. major groups interest include amoebas, ciliates, flagellates, algae, gregarines, coccidia, microsporidia. microsporidia the most commonly isolated best-studied group entomopathogenic protists; they pathogens vectors, agricultural pests, beneficial insects, causing disease in important host species ranging from mosquito larvae to honey bees. Most techniques described are, therefore, based on research involving this group. Included chapter descriptions morphological characters, techniques, tools for identifying protistan descriptions; methods collecting, transporting, isolating, purifying, storing, propagating pathogens; bioassay methods; controlling infections colony insects.
