摘要: During 1963, the number of visits to hospital emergency departments in Rochester, NY, equaled one fifth county population. A detailed one-month analysis 2,372 revealed that 20% patients were first decade life and two thirds self-referred. Although 61% (1,019 following trauma) seen by surgical service initially, most house admissions medical service. One third had no insurance. The visit was found be necessary cases.
