摘要: Abstract Background Telogen effluvium (TE) is nonscarring alopecia caused by medications, metabolic or hormonal stress severe systemic infections. An outbreak of dengue affected > 1% population in Tainan 2015 and clusters patients with dengue-associated TE were presented our clinic after the outbreak. Objectives We sought to characterize clinical features TE. Methods A retrospective study was conducted collect from November March 2016. Dengue confirmed serological tests. Dengue-associated diagnosed based on typical history hair shedding following exclusion other diseases. Results There 14 TE: one Caucasian man 13 Taiwanese women. The mean age 40.1 years. time infection onset 2.1 months persisted for 2.9 months average. Ten out female comorbid pattern loss. Short re-grown observed under trichoscope four patients. Conclusions Physicians should be aware especially endemic areas a Thorough medical history, examination laboratory tests obtained yield correct diagnosis identify coexistence two
