摘要: Abstract An alternative to the boundary element method for external domains is proposed, whereby elements are located on boundary, but points of observation taken inside boundary. The modification removes nonintegrable singularities from domain integration. It also provides a simple way avoiding ill-conditioning that occurs at fictitious eigenfrequencies. off-boundary BEM applied scattering plane, time-harmonic, longitudinal wave by spherical cavity in an unbounded, linearly elastic, isotropic, homogeneous solid. Results obtained approach compared with exact results and conventional approach. produces excellent less effort than BEM.
