摘要: When Las Vegas, Nev., experienced an outbreak of cryptosporidiosis in the AIDS population early 1994, Clark County Health District requested that Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) assist determining cause outbreak. Results CDC's epidemiological study indicated patients drinking tap water Vegas are at greater risk contracting than if they consume bottled or filtered water. An AWWA Research Foundation peer review panel concurred with CDC epidemiologic evidence pointed to as only factor The paradox this is influent quality treatment plant did not change, no breakdowns deficiencies were identified, ended suddenly it began, changes treatment.
