摘要: Abstract Many studies have attempted to validate the echocardiographic automated border detection (ABD) method for assessing left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) by comparing it with various and non-echocardiographic standards. The main basis of its accuracy has been coefficient correlation. fallacy using correlation agreement between two methods measurement well emphasized in literature. In present study we used Bland Altman test testing ABD method. We compared LVEF assessment manual edge technique on echocardiography radionuclide ventriculography 34 patients. majority patients (76%) had regional wall motion abnormality. could be adequately performed 25 (74%) was significantly underestimated very wide limits when (−9.2±21.7 −2.7±18.4 respectively, mean error±2 standard deviations). Stated simply, overestimate 12.5 15.7 or underestimate 30.9 21.1 technique, respectively. This large error is no means acceptable clinical purposes. It concluded that at stage, cannot replace LVEF.
