Necrobiotic xanthogranuloma with lambda paraproteinemia: case report of successful treatment with melphalan and prednisone

摘要: BACKGROUND : Necrobiotic xanthogranuloma (NXG) is a rare non-X histiocytosis with conspicuous lesions on the periorbital skin. METHODS A diabetic patient presented NXG and previous diagnosis of necrobiosis lipoidica legs over period almost 2 years before development typical regions, back, thighs legs. The was found also to have developed lambda paraproteinemia. RESULTS Treatment melphalan prednisone resulted in great improvement cutaneous paraproteinemia remission.
