摘要: Combustion of a biomass with an enhanced content chlorine (Cl) can result in operational problems including deposit formation and superheater corrosion. The strategies to reduce such include co-combustion the use additives. positive effects measures are mainly due sulphation alkali chlorides (KCl for biomass) less corrosive sulphates or capture released (K) components as potassium aluminium silicates. A mixture wood pellets straw was fired 12 MW circulation fluidised bed (CFB) boiler. PVC added fuel order achieve further reference level gaseous KCl during certain tests. Two were applied decrease risk corrosion by reducing deposits. injection ammonium sulphate peat. During peat both K ash be importance. results evaluated means several advanced measurement tools IACM (on-line measurements KCl), (chemical composition collected deposits, initial corrosion), analysis fly ashes). overall performance better sulphate, which significantly reduced KCl. Meanwhile almost no found Only minor reduction obtained although deposits greatly reduced.
