Comparative Study of Audio and Video Chat Application Over the Internet

摘要: Study and analysis of popular VoIP (voice/video- over-Internet protocol) applications (apps) on android smart- phone under the same bandwidth has been done. Out these three apps (Skype, Imo & Google Duo), Skype is most where as Duo recently launched by last year in august. Also, this paper a new application developed with implementation adaptive filter. The traffic captured tcpdump analyzed tools (Wireshark SteelCentral Packet Analyzer). based closed source proprietary project whereas Duo, Imo, are WebRTC (an open maintained Chrome team). results indicates that voice/video quality best among having worst quality. In research it found variation arises due to noise form echo signal. Therefore, deal filtering algorithm need be used enhance existing Normalized Least Mean Square (NLMS) enhancement calls. Developed when tested compared shows good call than IMO suffer significant packet loss.
