摘要: Crude oil is the single biggest energy resource for transportation industry. The high cost of gasoline and instability in Middle East has recently resulted more attention fuel alternatives United States existing fleet vehicles. Biofuels such as ethanol biodiese] have received many tax incentives. More recently, coal-to-liquids (CTL), a process by which coal gasified converted to liquid under temperatures being proposed route security. Several bills been introduced Congress amend Energy Policy Act 2005. Among other provisions, these would permit loan guarantees certain large-scale CTL facilities, offer credits investment projects, extend alternative credit fuels derived from coal. In this article, reviewed with emphasis on availability resource, status technology, its role alleviating foreign dependence, an enhanced emitter greenhouse gases. Being vast distributed additional technologies will make welcome contributions our supply. However, given long lead-time building plants, required meeting demand, environmental impacts associated pollutants, must be promoted responsibly. To achieve greater credibility, nascent carbon sequestration deployed plants. Ultimately, viewed one part program that includes aspects increasing efficiency promoting less intensive renewable sources.
