摘要: Abstract Compression tests were carried out on ductile cast iron with different sample geometries in order to understand the influence of stress triaxiality local strain. The performed dry friction conditions involving a complex and strain state severe barrelling. numerical simulation compression was achieved by using finite element analysis. Local evaluated microstructural quantifications. A relationship between nodule strain, experimentally determined at stress–strain stages, is proposed. predictions agree distribution experimental aspect ratio defined as major minor axis graphite nodules. This study shows that good indicator total material room temperature for states strains. In addition, it highlighted nodules cannot always be considered ordinary voids during plastic process.
