摘要: Recently it was reported that methanogens of the genus Methanobrevibacter exhibit catalase activity. This surprising, since species belong to order Methanobacteriales, which are known not contain cytochromes and lack ability synthesize heme. We report here arboriphilus strains AZ DH1 contained activity only when growth medium supplemented with hemin.
