摘要: Although scholarly interest in gay and lesbian history broadly defined is relatively young, research has increased significantly since the early 1990s. This was largely stimulated by liberation movements of 1970s 1980s which both encouraged collective self-awareness amongst gays sought acceptance from broader straight society. During 1990s became a significant 'consumer' group targeted various companies non-commercial organisations as niche market. One need only scan through community periodicals such SX or Sydney Star Observer to appreciate number businesses noncommercial groups servicing community. ln light this confluence historical marketing community, we can suggest that one item interests specific public history. However, there been little investigation forms Australia how these have utilised Public History Review, for instance, last published an article on 1992.
