摘要: Background: The mucous membrane of the oral cavity is site many neoplasms, reactive processes, infections and manifestation systemic diseases. Lesions in mucosa may be primary clinical feature or only sign muco-cutaneous Some conditions can result considerable morbidity mortality if not properly treated. Patients with such often consult a dermatology clinic. Information on diversity, magnitude burden these general rare Africa specifically Sudan. To plan for effective health services, correct diagnosis based proper investigations epidemiological studies are essential. Objective: This study aimed to explore diversity pathological nonpathological patients skin lesions attending outpatient facility Khartoum Teaching Hospital (KTH) Dermatology Clinic, also had following specific objectives: estimate frequency socio-behavioural distribution mucosal (OML) diseases; assess impact patients’ daily life activities using Arabic version Oral Impact Daily Performances (OIDP) inventory without OML; and, describe features pemphigus persons Methods: From October 2008 January 2009, all outpatients aged above 18 years clinic KTH were invited participate crosssectional hospital-based study. Data collected by face-to-face interviews structured questionnaires followed examinations cavity. examinations, OML decayed, missing filled teeth (DMFT) registration performed World Health Organization (WHO) criteria. Biopsies, smears immunohistochemistry (IHC) used as adjuvant techniques confirmation. An OIDP was related quality life.
