摘要: Abstract Amongst academics and practitioners working in the fields of urban planning design, there has been an on-going discussion regarding relationships between morphology environmental sustainability. A main focus analysis to investigate whether form cities neighbourhoods can be related their energy efficiency, especially intensity buildings transportation. However, analyse overall performance systems, both consumption generation resources need assessed. In terms sustainability, potential generate renewable within city boundaries is a research topic growing interest, being solar one available. This study uses neighbourhood-scale statistical models explore aggregated descriptors harvest city. Different possible scenarios Greater London are analysed variables tested with aim increasing neighbourhoods. Results show that by optimising combinations up eight irradiation roofs could increased ca. 9%, while facades increase 45%. Furthermore, based on these results, series trade-offs needed for optimisation conflicting unveiled. Finally, some recommendations design strategies offered helping planners designers improve new or existing areas.
