摘要: The reported occurrence of protozoan parasites the blood British wild birds and mammals is reviewed. Nineteen species have been recorded as hosts Haemoproteus (or Parahaemoproteus), Leucocytozoon Akiba), Plasmodium, Trypanosoma or “atoxoplasms” (a group whose taxonomic status presently in doubt), seventeen are known to be Babesia, Hepatozoon, Polychromophilus (including at least three from Chiroptera: T. (Schizotrypanum) dionisii, (S.) vespertilionis (Megatrypanum) incertum).
