摘要: Transition probabilities for the Schumann‐Runge system of O2 have been measured in absorption wavelength region 2650–3900 A. Oxygen was heated a shock tube to temperatures up 4500°K, thereby populating high vibrational and rotational levels. Absorption spectra were photographed using high‐speed flash lamp large Littrow quartz spectrograph. bands three sequences, associated with zero, 1st, 2nd levels excited electronic state, yield an f value 0.048±0.008 which, when corrected dependence, is about ⅓ that determined vacuum ultraviolet. This corresponds decrease transition probability increasing internuclear separation. Line‐width variations temperature density also measured. The optical diameter O2–O2 collisions as 6 A O2–O 10
