摘要: Autonomy in manufacturing sector is enhanced by making CNC machines intelligent, thereby reducing human interventions. Human involvement observed process planning, parameter selection, toolpath generation, cutting tool and preparation of part programs. Optimization these aspects has been an area research for a long time. Toolpath optimization found to be less explored field this regard. This conducted with the aim develop framework milling operations. A workpiece containing linear, circular, pocket design elements approximated using discretized model. Genetic algorithm used find optimal sequence squares which then constitutes toolpath. Results indicate effectiveness methodology optimizing toolpaths based on various objective functions.
