摘要: Abstract We have undertaken a molecular analysis of the salivary glands hematophagous insects in order to better understand their role blood feeding and transmission infectious diseases. To that end, genomic cDNA clones gene designated D7, expressed abundantly adult female vector mosquito Aedes aegypti , been isolated characterized. This encodes mRNA shown by Northern situ hybridization tissue sections be specifically transcribed distal-lateral medial lobes glands, regions are highly differentiated females. The deduced product, protein approximately 37 kDa appears novel. Polyclonal antibodies made recombinant D7 product recognize with proper weight saliva. These studies indicate probably major secreted synthesized glands. stage- sex-limited expression gene, secretion its is most likely involved capabilities mosquito.
