摘要: A new point of view is presented for tool path generation freeform surfaces. The task treated as a time-optimization problem. We seek the that covers an entire surface quickly possible while respecting both geometric tolerance requirements and kinematic limits machine tool. This important consideration in high speed machining dies molds. first frame optimization problem mathematically. turns out to be difficult solve, closed form solution does not exist. instead describe approaches towards finding numerical solutions. present preliminary results our algorithms. resulting paths tend take 10-30% less time.
