NONBACTERIAL THROMBOTIC ENDOCARDITIS

摘要: In a previous report 1 several groups of cases were described and classified under the general designation nonbacterial thrombotic endocarditis. This form endocarditis is characterized by vegetations, often unusual size appearance, with minimum reaction in valve itself. It differs from variety due to acute rheumatic infection type Libman Sacks as "atypical verrucous endocarditis." 2 Among subdivisions endocarditis, two appear have certain clinical pathologic features common. One these (reported on elsewhere 3 ) was represented group three (thrombocytopenic) purpura haemorrhagica, vascular lesions which widespread one case considerably milder other cases.
