摘要: Abstract : Can one joint command, control, and communications (C3) platform replace five or more current C3 platforms achieve the same results better? we save money in long run by concentrating our efforts on global system versus continual research, development, testing to extend life of present air-breathing platforms? These include ground units such as Air Force Modular Control Element (MCE) airborne Airborne Warning System (AWACS), Joint Surveillance Targeting Radar (JSTARS), Battlefield Command, Control, Communications (ABCCC); well naval counterpart E-2C Hawkeye. Presently, these fall under different services, commands, speak techno-babble languages when fact they all serve purpose: relay real-time information battlefield for decision makers. afford continue using multiple goal? technology not deliver required package? This research explores two concepts: feasibility combining currently used USAF USN commercial space-based satellite host connectivity.
