Influence of amplified spontaneous emission and fluorescence of β-carotene on stimulated Raman scattering of carbon disulfide

摘要: β-carotene with double fluorescence characteristics and large third-order optical nonlinearities, which is dissolved in the carbon disulfide (CS2) as core medium of a liquid fiber (LCOF), applied study CS2 stimulated Raman scattering (SRS). The results this show that when concentrations solution are more than 3.72×10−7 mol/L, amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) main factor influencing threshold intensity Stokes lines; lower ASE disappears plays key role: high-order lines may be observed at very low input-laser power, thresholds decrease concentration increases. result widely used broadband radiation laser seeding laser.
