摘要: A specially designed ultrasonic aspiration-biopsy transducer (UABT) containing a central lumen was used as an aid in the aspiration of fluid-containing structures and biopsy solid tissue. Ultrasound provided estimate subcutaneous depth tissues interest, and, case cystic masses, allowed volume fluid present. When aspirating needle directed through into mass, echo recorded from tip while fluid. With tissues, echoes arising tip-soft tissue interface were masked by interfaces thus more difficult to identify.
