Defending the Public Interest in TRIPS and the WTO

摘要: This chapter aims to discuss some of the defects World Trade Organization (WTO) as they affect Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS). The criticisms TRIPS detailed in other chapters this book demonstrate how it is potentially damaging global public welfare. However, alternatives could be even more harmful, since developing countries would vulnerable unilateral pressures and sanctions, coerced bilateral agreements.
