Who knows more about immunization?: Survey of public health nurses and physicians.

摘要: Abstract Objective To report the findings of a knowledge survey nurse and physician immunization providers. Design Cross-sectional postal assessing demographic characteristics vaccine knowledge. Setting British Columbia (BC). Participants Nurse providers in BC. Main outcome measures Knowledge vaccine-preventable diseases, vaccines general, administration handling practices. Results Survey responses were received from 256 nurses 292 physicians (response rates 48.6% 18.3%, respectively). Most (98.4%) reported receiving training outside academic setting compared with 55.6% physicians. Overall, immunizers scored significantly higher than on all 3 domains (83.7% vs 72.8%, respectively; P Conclusion In BC, appear to have overall are more likely receive when practice. Physician might benefit most further handling.
