摘要: Matching Pursuit (MP )-am ethod of high-resolution signal analysis - is described in the context other methods operating time-frequency space. The method relies on an adaptive approximation a by means waveforms chosen from very large and redundant dictionary functions. MP performance illustrated simulations examples sleep spindles slow wave activity analysis. An improvement original procedure, relying introduction stochastic dictionaries, proposed. A comparison dyadic dictionaries presented. with characterized unmatched resolution space; moreover it allows for parametric description all (periodic transient) features framework same formalism. pursuit especially suitable non-stationary signals unique tool investigation dynamic changes brain activity.
