摘要: This article proposes a new method for estimating claim liabilities. Our approach is based on the observation from contract theory that there information asymmetry between insurer and policyholder about risks incurred by latter. We show unobserved heterogeneity allows form of experience learning can reduce this asymmetry, which makes it easier to distinguish high-risk low-risk claimants. evaluate our in context disability insurance self-employed results more accurate best estimates outstanding
