摘要: We predict the emission line luminosity functions (LFs) of first 10 rotational transitions CO in galaxies at redshift z=0 to z=10. This prediction relies on a recently presented simulation molecular cold gas content 3x10^7 evolving based Millennium Simulation. combine this with model for conversion between mass and CO- intensities, which incorporates following mechanisms: (1) is heated by cosmic microwave background (CMB), starbursts (SBs), active galactic nuclei (AGNs); (2) clouds dense or inclined can overlap; (3) compact attain smooth distribution densest part disks; (4) luminosities scale metallicity changes galaxies; (5) are always detected against CMB. analyze relative importance these effects evolution LFs. The most notable conclusion that detection regular (i. e., no AGN, massive SB) high z>7 will be dramatically hindered weak contrast CMB, contradiction earlier claims CMB heating ease high-redshift CO. full extragalactic lines predicted LFs any accessed online (http://s-cubed.physics.ox.ac.uk/, go "S3-SAX") they should useful modeling CO-line surveys future telescopes, such as Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array Square Kilometer Array.
