摘要: The critical thermal maxima of adult Carcinus maenas and Cancer pagurus have been determined. CTMax for the eurythermal C. were significantly higher than stenothermal at each acclimation condition, as would be predicted. Acclimation had a significant effect in both species, with 22°C acclimated crabs having 8°C crabs. ability (AAR response) was greater maenas, suggesting that is not directly related to eurythermicity. There marked seasonal on species. winter caught lower summer or autumn animals, difference persisted irrespective laboratory status.
