摘要: Several satellite techniques have been recently proposed to remotely map seismically active zones and monitor geophysical phenomena possibly associated with earthquakes. Even if questionable in terms of their effective applicability, all these highlight as the major problem, still be overcome, high number natural factors (independent any seismic activity) whose variable contributions investigated signal can so completely mask (or simulate) space-time anomaly event under study. A robust approach (RAT) has (and successfully applied field monitoring environmental risks) which, better than other methods, seems suitable for recognising anomalies observational also presence highly from atmospheric (transmittance), surface (emissivity morphology) (time/season, but solar zenithal angles) conditions. This work presents first preliminary results, based on several years NOAA/AVHRR observations, regarding its extension thermal areas Southern Italy. The main merits this are robustness against possibility false events detection (specially important kind applications) well intrinsic exportability not only different geographic instrumental packages.
