摘要: Grazed pasture is the cheapest source of nutrients for dairy cows and should form basis profitable low input animal production systems. Management high producing at thus a major challenge in most countries. The objective present paper to review factors affecting nutrient supply grazing order point out areas with scope improvement on managing variations achieve performance while maintaining efficient utilisation per hectare. Reviewing range requirements, intake capacity nutritive values shows that cannot satisfy their energy requirements from alone. Favourable unfavourable situations may be defined according quality availability. Predictive models also enable calculate supplementation level required meet various situations. Solutions maintain acceptable cow output ha are discussed. Strategies concentrate increasing use legumes mixed swards promising. It concluded there improving given recent developments our understanding influencing digestion.
