摘要: Methods and apparatuses for real-time or near streaming of content using transfer protocols such as an HTTP compliant protocol. In one embodiment, a method includes dividing, at server device (120) stream data, representing the contiguous time based program (e.g. live video broadcast), into plurality distinct media files, generating playlist file having tags Universal Resource Indicators (URIs) indicating order presentation files. The files can be made available transmission to client (150, 180) which retrieve file.
