摘要: Young plants of Aegiceras corniculatum, a dominant mangrove species, were collected from Futian Mangrove Swamp in Shenzhen, The People's Republic China, and grown simulated tide tanks containing sediments. After acclimatisation the greenhouse for 6 months, irrigated with either synthetic sewage various strengths (NW,FW TW) or artificial seawater (as control). NW had characteristics strength equivalent to municipal wastewater, while FW TW contained 5 and10 times nutrient heavy metal concentrations NW, respectively. Results showed that young A. corniculatum able tolerate wastewater (TW) highest concentration nutrients metals after one year treatment. growth treated plants, measured terms stem height, basal diameter biomass, was comparable found control. significantly greater than control, indicating are beneficial plants. Physiological parameters such as chlorophyll content, ratio b, proline root activity did not show any significant changes among suggesting addition cause apparent physiological impact on corniculatum. Nevertheless, which received levels (TW treatment) appeared have lower content free water but higher amount bound FW, Higher electric conductance also TW.
