Luminescence quenching by manganese ions in MO–CaF2–B2O3 glasses

摘要: Abstract Thermoluminescence (TL) characteristics of X-ray irradiated calcium fluoro borate glasses mixed with three different alkali oxide modifiers viz., Li2O, Na2O and K2O have been studied in the temperature range 303–600 K; all exhibited single TL peak at 485, 541 497 K respectively. The containing as modifier has maximum light output. doping manganese by a small concentration (0.2 mol%) these observed to inhibit output drastically shifting positions towards lower temperatures. trap depth parameters associated peaks evaluated using Chen’s formulae. probable mechanism responsible for quenching emission ions suggested aid optical absorption, IR spectra differential scanning calorimetric studies.
