摘要: Background Serum or plasma protein electrophoresis is used as a routine test for health assessment in veterinary medicine, but there are only limited number of studies regarding clinical use reptile species. Objective The goals this study were to establish reference intervals the Green Iguana (Iguana iguana), compare values between males and females, identify season-related changes. Methods Plasma samples obtained from 21 healthy captive male female Iguanas. Agarose gel was performed using an automated Hydrasys system. Results Four main fractions observed: albumin, α globulins, β γ globulins. Bisalbuminemia observed 4 iguanas. Minimum maximum reported Iguanas March, June, September, December. Seasonal changes albumin determined March December, globulins June September. Differences females seen concentration September. Conclusions Reference according can be affected by seasonal sex animals. It should taken into account when evaluation performed.
