摘要: Sudden death in a 66-year-old woman with squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity and exclusive metastatic involvement right stellate ganglion nerve vagus is reported. The patient also suffered from paroxysmal atrial fibrillation treated quinidine. An autopsy showed metastases to nerve, along decreased fibre density ventricular myocardium suggesting that Wallerian axon degeneration cardiac fibres was responsible for sudden death.
