摘要: Despite the shallow convective envelopes ofScuti pulsators, solar-like oscilla- tions are theoretically predicted to be excited in those stars as well. To search for such stochastic oscillations we organised a spectroscopic multi-site campaign bright, metal-richSct starPuppis. We obtained total of 2763 high-resolution spectra using four telescopes. discuss reduction and analysis with iodine cell technique, developed searching low-amplitude radial velocity variations, presence high-amplitude variability. Furthermore, have determined angular diameter ofPuppis 1.68 ± 0.03 mas, translating into radius 3.52 0.07 R⊙. Using this value, frequency maximum power possible oscillations, is expected at � 43±2 cd −1 (498±23 µHz). The dominantScuti-type pulsation mode known fundamental which al- lows us determine mean density star, therefore an large separation 2.73 (31.6 conclude that 1) amplitudes theScuti pulsations different spectral lines; 2) can exclude present inPuppis amplitude per larger than 0.5 ms .
