Design and performance research of an adaptive damper composed of electrorheological fluids and piezoelectric ceramics

摘要: A new kind of adaptive damper composed electrorheological (ER) fluids and piezoelectric ceramics is proposed in this paper. Its feature that respond to outside vibrations provide an electric field solidify the ER fluid so auto-adjustment damping realized. According change frequency amplitude vibrations, response changes control vibration Compared with ordinary dampers, there no high voltage sources computer equipment system. The simulation shows suppression effect increases stimulating force, but decreases when increases. In test damper's performance we observe manifest results.
