摘要: Few studies have determined the prevalence of intestinal parasites along rivers in Brazilian Amazon, especially pediatric populations. Therefore, we conducted a coproparasitological survey group 200 children riverine communities Coari, on Middle Solimoes River, Amazonas State, Brazil. The results study show an 83% infection, which parasitism by species Ascaris lumbricoides was most common. socioenvironmental factors related to parasitic infection that were statistically significant include household income and water source variables (p < 0.05 for family income), suggests increased may be poor economic sanitary conditions these communities. We conclude high rate this population, is associated with basic certain inappropriate habits, represents troubling situation public health.
