摘要: BACKGROUND Accurate and reproducible measurements of proximal thoracic aorta diameters are essential in the diagnosis follow-up patients with aortic dilatation, a condition particularly common hypertensive patients. AIM to evaluate accuracy transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) comparison cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) for assessment cohort METHODS A total 75 outpatients previously evaluated by TTE than CMR were included study. We specifically compared two techniques at level sinuses Valsalva (SoV) ascending (Asc) diameter. For images, inner edge-to-inner edge leading edge-to-leading conventions compared. RESULTS significantly related (SoV: r 0.931, P < 0.001; Asc: 0.949, P < 0.001) when convention was used. Mean difference between 2.49 ± 2.01 mm SoV 1.13 ± 1.77 mm Asc. Correlation good also TEE measured 0.936, 0.947, P < 0.001). Comparing approaches evaluation Asc, showed trend better correlation edge, interobserver intraobserver agreement. CONCLUSION The results current study suggest that could be reliable tool assess
