摘要: In view of the long-standing issues and concerns that beset Philippine system higher education, study attempts to evaluate performance state universities colleges (SUCs) in period 2006-2009 using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). particular, it estimates efficiency 78 SUCs based on available input data (i.e., expenditure data) output number enrolled students, graduates, total revenue). Also, examines productivity change these institutions by applying Malmquist approach a four-year panel set SUCs. The DEA results indicate majority have score less than 1 thus, they are considered inefficient. addition, target levels derived from suggest potential cost savings for each Further, about 62 percent has slightly improved under review. findings point research future would take closer look identified as inefficient this exercise with end identifying, understanding, hopefully, addressing factors affect their operation performance.
